Paper Doll pillow case Secret Pocket
This was so much fun to make. I used the “hot diggity dog” method to construct the pillow case.
First your bun (the hem edge/ open end) goes down, then put your condiment (small accent strip) on top of that
you roll up the (body of the case) which becomes the hot dog, and carefully bring up the bun and enclose it all.
Sew through all layers leaving the 2 ends of the bun open, then the magic. pull the Hot Dog out of the inside, all the layers are together hem is perfect
and all you do is sew the side and bottom seam while the case is RIGHT SIDE OUT, then turn INSIDE OUT and sew one more time.
No raw edges and no stray threads or seams visible ! But I took this one to another level and included a pocket inside.
Just big enough to keep a secret diary, lost tooth, or just the Dolls clothes ! How fun is that.
This will be a Special surprise forĀ one little girl that visits “Misty Quilts” this July !

Hi!
I really like the way your pillowcases look, but I can’t figure out the directions. I read them several times but I’m still stumped. Do you have any pictures of when it was a work in process?
Thanks,
Mae

Hi,
I really like the quilt as you go table topper done in the splash. Do you have a pattern for this. If not do you know where I can get it.
Thanks,
Hello Mary Beth,
Thank you for visiting, glad you like my table topper quilt with the Blank Fabric.
I do have a pattern, and there is a template set to help in cutting the fabric, batting
and assembly. If you do purchase the template set, there are many more patterns
to choose from all using the same template.
Will send you more info asap.
